Our Mission

  Cozy Corner Talks mission is to empower community organizations by providing comprehensive training, consultation, and program development support that centers youth voice, wellness, and sustainable impact. We believe that every young person deserves to thrive in environments that understand and nurture their full potential.

       Through a combination of trauma-informed practices, culturally responsive frameworks, and hands-on guidance, we help organizations design programs that not only engage but uplift youth. Our services include creating customized curriculums, facilitating interactive workshops, and consulting on best practices for integrating peer leadership and youth advocacy into existing structures.

      By fostering a cozy, inclusive, and community-centered approach, we guide organizations in building spaces where young people can grow from participants into leaders—equipped with life skills, professional readiness, and a deep sense of self-worth. Together, we cultivate a culture of collaboration, resilience, and lasting change—rooted in shared learning and collective growth.

A little about Me...

Deborah Irby, also know as DeeDee was born and still resides in Philadelphia, PA. Where she makes endless efforts to break stigma and create a more human center of care within the mental health world. She has a passion for children’s mental health, youth centered care, utilizing lived experience and lived expertise, giving youth a voice, youth leadership and development. DeeDee informs and helps city-wide initiatives that strive to enhance Philadelphia’s capacity to screen children for trauma and improve the pathways and access to Evidence-Based Practices for youth. Assisted in building the curriculum that gave the youth psychoeducation, team building skills, and coping mechanisms on their trauma responses.
